Board Retreats and Workshops

Retreats are an interactive experience that gets your board engaged in your mission and focused on the business of your organization. Each retreat is tailored to your organization’s needs.

The board participates in formulating the agenda and the executive staff gives input in order to create the best experience for all. This approach is best experienced in an in-person environment, however, there are virtual options available. We will discuss your specific needs in a preliminary call.

Staff Retreats and Workshops

Staff retreats can bring everyone together for the common mission.
Much like board retreats, staff retreats can inspire and motivate employees. While we will get a lot accomplished, it won’t feel like work! Fun and interactive, staff retreats give everyone a break from the day to day.

Board Development
One of the keys to making a nonprofit organization successful is its board of directors. Boards are very unique; no two are alike. We will assess your board’s effectiveness and develop a plan to motivate them, align them to your mission and help them to understand their role.

Strategic Planning
As Dwight D. Eisenhower said “Plans are nothing; planning is everything.” Most of us are aware of well-meaning stakeholders who are involved in creating a strategic plan only to place it in a binder and put it on the shelf to collect dust - this is more the practice with strategic planning than not. We will create an actionable plan that produces immediate results and sets the course for the future.

Fund Development
At the core of any successful nonprofit is a comprehensive development plan. Organizations should be well diversified. Think about what happened during the COVID-19 pandemic - does your organization rely mostly on event funds? How did that affect your bottom line in 2020? It is a scary time; we will navigate it together.

Special Projects
I am occasionally available for a few select special projects including stepping into staff roles until the right hire is made or working with staff on a special event. Whatever your needs, we can talk through it and decide if we are a fit.
